Welcome, my name is Chris Weeks. I live in Ft Worth, TX with my wife and two sons. I moved to Ft Worth in November of 2007 to pursue my first passion, the art of Taekwondo. I started Taekwondo in 1988 at Jack Hwang’s Institute of karate in Oklahoma City at the age of five. In 1994 began my teaching career at Mr. Hwangs school in Oklahoma City. I began competing at the age of 8 years old and have competed all over the world. I’m still an active competitor, and was two time Grand Champion 2005, 2010. In November of 2007 I moved to Fort Worth, and became an instructor as a 4th Dan. I’ve also studied in other arts such as; Submission Grappling, Muay Tai, Judo, Boxing, Krav Maga. I believe that Taekwondo is more than something you do, but a way of life. “A good student can learn anywhere at any time from anyone.” I’m also a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer.
Painting is another of my passions and I paint to relax between my teaching and my real estate business. I started out doing air bushing and acrylic painting. I received an oil painting set as a gift and love the way the oil allows you to blend and add light and the fact that I can work the painting longer.
I’ve since moved to doing tattoos a few years ago. You can find me at Ink Life DFW, 5208 Rufe Snow Dr, North Richland Hills, TX. Come by and get your ink on!
